21 Weeks!

Well, I'm now 21 weeks pregnant! That means approximately 19 weeks left! We've been working around our house and on the nursery. This weekend Ricky painted an accent wall in the nursery and we got the furniture put together and set up. It's coming together! I wanted to take care of this before I get too big to participate (without much effort!).

Everyone wants to know about baby names, we have no idea! It's harder than it sounds to come up with one, at least one we both like. It will probably take us a while yet. We might keep our name choices a surprise until we introduce him to the world. We'll see!

He's kicking more these days, or at least I feel it more! My baby bump has grown a bit. Last week one of my first graders saw me in the hall and said "Mrs. Peters, I see your baby, he's poking out!" When I told her group I was going to have a baby a while back, she looked at me with a strange look and said "it doesn't look like you are".

The next few months should be interesting at work as I try to finish out all of my paperwork by mid-March. That is no small challenge and brings a bit of stress, but I know it will all work out one way or the other!

I'm going back to the doctor on December 2nd, so it should be interesting to hear what he has to say.
Nursery pics to follow soon! Thanks for reading our blog!

Well... it's a....

Baby BOY! So far he is healthy and growing right on target! My gut has been telling me for about a month that it was a boy. We were both surprised at first, but we're happy! Ricky said "now our name will be carried on". During the ultrasound his legs were parallel with his head and he was grabbing his toes. The doctor described him as breech, active, and limber! (the breech part will hopefully change over time):) I'm starting to feel him moving more every day. I'm soooo thankful to have him and really enjoy having ultrasounds so much! Talk about a true miracle! We'll go back in 4 more weeks for our next visit. I'll post ultrasound pics below as soon as I have time to scan them.

Can you see him grabbing his toes? How sweet is that?

18 Weeks Boy or Girl?

We are supposed to find out on Tuesday what we are having. A baby, yes! But what kind? We can't wait to know and we hope our little one will cooperate! Here are some pics of me at 18 weeks - getting bigger!
