Everett is seven weeks old...but not for long!

Everett is seven weeks old, but on Thursday he'll be TWO MONTHS OLD! WOW! Time is flying by. E is growing so much. He is on his way out of newborn clothes and is now wearing mostly 0-3 month clothes. Soon he'll be in 1's instead of newborn diapers. He is now sleeping about 5 hours at night before needing a feeding, so maybe some day mom will be caught up on her beauty rest. For now, I'm doing my best to hide the dark circles under my eyes! Everett's favorite time of day is early morning bath time! We both enjoy this 30-40 minutes of getting all of the yucky stuff off so that the day can begin. Then after bath time, nap time of course! He is trying to figure out how to coo and smile. 6 Weeks old!

Everett is now six weeks old. He is growing so quickly! He graduated from preemie to newborn size clothes a week or two ago and now he's working his way out of newborn size! Right now he weighs 8 lbs 7 oz. and is 21 inches long! We are going through diapers and wipes like crazy around here, so we are very thankful for all of the diapers that we got from our diaper/wipe shower! Little boys seem to have a magical way of peeing just before you get the new diaper all the way on! Today Everett managed to make his first leaky poo diaper and tee teed on mommy after his bath. So, with that said, you can imagine the fun and laughter happening at our house these days! E is now going about 3 or so hours between feedings which is nice. More pics soon!

One Month Old

Everett is now one month old! It's hard to believe how fast he's growing! Right now he's eating every 2-3 hours. He still sleeps most of the time, but his wake times are getting a little longer. He is a sweet baby even when he's a bit fussy! :) We are enjoying every moment with him! Here are a few recent pics:

3 weeks old today!

Everett is three weeks old today! He is growing fast and filling out. I weighed him today and he was 6 lbs 7 1/2 oz., if I read the scale right. So he has gained almost a pound in a week! WOW! He now has chubby cheeks on his little face. He's a very sweet baby and only has a few cranky times during the day. He still eats every two hours at night, but I think I'm getting used to the interrupted sleep!

Everett is Two Weeks Old!

We just got back from E's 2 week doctor visit. Looks like everything is fine. He weighed 5 lbs 9 oz. and was 19+ inches long! He's healthy and doing great! :) Pics to follow soon! :)

Everett James has arrived!

We went for my 36 week appointment and the doc was trying to figure out if he was breech or not. I was already dialated 4 cm. He decided to do an ultrasound and discovered that he was breech and I had almost no amniotic fluid. He wouldn't even let us go home to pack a bag, we had to go admit into the hospital right away. So I went from my appointment at 2:30 to the hospital at 3:30, got in the operating room at 4:30 and Everett was delivered at 5:03 pm. I was completely terrified, but in the end the result was a beautiful, healthy baby. We are so thankful that this problem was caught. We had been praying that he'd turn right and not be breech, but it ended up saving his life! Thank the Lord.

34 weeks

This week Daddy was busy building a much needed closet shelving system in baby boy's closet! It came out really nice and helped me get his clothes and other items sorted and neatly organized. The whole top shelf is full of diapers which we are so thankful to have! Rumor has it that we'll go through them very quickly!

My Grandma helped me recover the cushions on the glide rocker and Ricky hung the blinds in the room, so it seems like the nursery is pretty much complete!

I went back to the doctor on February 26th. Baby boy's heartrate was 133 bpm which was good. I measured fine and everything seems to be moving along on track so far! I've had swollen ankles lately which is something new! I've been wearing crocks at work because my other shoes are way too tight! I have the feeling that he finally moved head down because it seems like I'm starting to feel feet in my ribs. I could be wrong though, I'm no expert at interpreting baby movement!! I go back to the doc again on March 10th.
