Everett is three and a half months!

My little E is getting so big! He is a little over 3 1/2 months and weighs about 14 lbs. He coos and smiles a lot and is learning to laugh. This has been a month of firsts for him. He had his first road trip and we discovered he is a great traveler! He even slept through the night for the first time while we were gone! He met some of his Texas relatives and even got to meet some of my grandmother's friends who prayed for us and him long before he was born! He also went swimming for the first time on Father's Day. He loved the water!

Almost 3 months old!

Wow, where does the time go? My teeny tiny baby is going to be 12 weeks old tomorrow! He is growing out of his 0-3 clothes that used to swallow his whole body! He is now smiling constantly and laughing every now and then. He can roll from side to side, though he prefers his left side as evidenced by the flat side of his head! Right now I'm typing and he is sitting next to me in his rocker hiccuping, kicking his feet, and waving his hands like crazy. I'm still waiting for him to really notice his hands. He has figured out how to put them in his mouth, but he hasn't really started staring at them yet. We are working on sleeping through the night. So far he goes a long stretch about 5 hours and then maybe sleeps another 3 1/2 to 4. I'm still very tired, but that is slowly getting better too, maybe. I'm not sure how much E weighs now, but it is over 10 lbs. He has new rolls of chunky stuff every day! Here are some recent pics:

Two Months Old

After two whole months of sleep deprivation, it is definitely showing up and evidenced by my cognitive deficits! I already couldn't add or subtract, but now I can't tell time or read the calendar either! :) Everett actually turned two months old on the 12th, not on Thursday when he was 8 weeks old. Anyway...we went to the doctor for his 2 month check up yesterday and here is how he's growing: weight: 9 lbs. 13.4 oz, height: 22 1/2 inches. I knew that car seat was getting harder to lug around! He also had to get his first round of shots. It was heartbreaking, but he took it very well and was soo sweet in general at the doc's office. Here are some recent pics of Everett:

First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. It was so awesome to get to participate as a mom this year and not just as a child. I'm soooo thankful for my little E! Hopefully one day I won't look quite so motherly! I need to put down the sweets and go for a jog! Take a look at the smile on my little guy's face! How precious!
